This is my second time filming and editing for AICE Media Studies and I can proudly say that this is alot better than what I had made for the Commercial, still alot more room from improvement but the improvement is shown just from then to now. I hope it is enjoyed and that the final product is up to the standards of what it needs to be.

The Final Day of Editing for My Music Video

Image
On the second day of editing I began where I left off which was when I finished adding in some mini transitions. Now I'm putting clips together to create illusions and cool creativity. One of my ideas, which is the whole point of the music video, was to have me play both characters, but in the same shots and so on. For some clips that feature both characters Apart from aligning the background so it doesn't look wonky, it was fairly simple to edit both in. However, in other situations, such as editing the mirror scene in my panels, it proved to be far more difficult than I had anticipated. I wanted to give the impression that the mirror moves independently of the person and does not reflect the actual person outside the person in real time. I had to cut out the clips and perform some complex masking. That is to say, I removed much of the background in the original clip has been removed, leaving only the person in the edited version. After I finished masking, I put everything t

The Start of Editing for My Music Video

I started gathering all of my clips for the first day of editing. I went through them one by one to see which one would work best for the music video. After I sorted them all out, I went to YouTube and downloaded the song I needed for my music video, then cut up the audio to make it no longer than 2 minutes. Then I opened Videostar and imported the audio, and the editing process began. I began to section out the audio and leave some markers so I know where each and every individual clip I filmed goes. It makes things a lot easier for me, but it has its drawbacks, such as having to time it correctly and resorting some clips to see which one would fit the amount of time available. Because some of the clips are shorter than others, they must be shown on screen. But after a half-hour, I figured it out and started putting all the clips together normally. When I finished, I began to think about what I could do for the video's intro, but nothing really came to mind, so I'm going to

Final Day of Filming for my Music Video

On the second day of filming, I finished filming all of the storyboard panels for my music video. I have to say that it was not an easy task. I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to use that time to actually finish everything, but it wasn't easy because it felt like a time crunch even though I was free to do whatever I wanted. There were still a lot of scenes to finish from where I had left off, and I had to refilm some of them because the clips were too blurry for the final product. I also recorded scenes that I would edit into the music video to give it more personality and easter eggs, which sort of fits the theme of my music video anyway. It was also difficult to change costumes because I play both characters and edit myself into it. It's a difficult task, but it's not impossible. But what I did was work on all of the scenes for the first subject and then change into costume to fit into the second subject; the only difficult part was that I might have had to swit

Complicated Day for Filming

Image
I've started working on the production and filming of my music video, and it hasn't been without its challenges. I had to start by waiting for some bad cloudy weather to clear so I could get some sunny and cute shots for my storyboard, and it took a while, but eventually the sun did come out and it looked super amazing, I was very concerned about getting some bad weather that day and I wasn't really expecting it because it's currently December and you'd think the weather would be perfect and cold, but we live in Florida, so weather just happens. When I first started filming, I needed to find some good lighting for the first shots because I wanted to use natural light rather than artificial lights. Just to make it more natural and pleasing to the video's aesthetic. Once I found the perfect lighting, I filmed a few of the first shots without much difficulty; there were a few retakes here and there, but nothing major. But then I started to struggle with some of the
