CCR Reflection

Image
Creative Critical Reflection 1.      How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  The way my product uses conventions is how to character in the commercial, is seen doing some sort of daily routine or task. Something that the average audience is able to relate to. The seemingly homey atmosphere of the commercial brings in the fact that this is a day in the life of most people out there watching this commercial, however it does not represent social groups or issues. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?  My product engages and attracts an audience because of the luring energy from the commercial itself, many people especially younger audiences these days enjoy a more relaxing specific styled or aesthetic form of media, with the calming music and visuals that were brought into the commercial, it engages the audience by making them feel welcome therefore wanting to bu

My Commercial

Here is my Commercial, looking at it I can say I'm pretty proud of it especially since it's my first film type of video. There's definitely room for improvement though, especially on the filming part. Working alone isn't the hardest but I definitely want to experience filming with others because filming is just not my thing, I have greater strength in editing and storyboarding, but other than that I am happy with the final product.

Day Two Of Editing My Sprite Commercial

Image
Today, was the second and last day of editing my Sprite Commercial. I am excited to say that I've finally completed my commercial. Coming back to editing it I have finally figured out how to get the slogan for the end of my commercial, it was easy, to say the least, and I'll keep that information in mind for the next time I may need to add an image to my videos. After I had all my clips together I adjusted them a bit more to fit the timing of the music and to cut out a lot of the stalling in the commercial, it was going a lot slower when I looked back on it but I adjusted it to go at the correct pace. Once I did that I began adding little details and effects to make it stand out a little more. I added a slight bit of light flicker and camera jitter because I wanted to fit the theme of the calming vintage aesthetic films. It makes it look a little more welcoming and calming. I also added a bit of TV static and cinematic borders to make it look a little more filmy and profession

Day One Of Editing My Sprite Commercial

Image
Today, I have begun the editing process for my Sprite commercial. I started off by opening video star, an editing app/program that is available on the phone. I usually use this app for personal editing because it is very easy to use and it has a lot of cool features so obviously I had to work on the commercial in this app. I put in my music first, then I tried cutting or leaving little checkmarks to where the clips would go into. This helps to keep it all organized and on beat with the music. Then I began to put in my clips to where I put the designated marks, this was sort of a struggle because some clips were shorter than planned and I needed a way for it to flow correctly with the music. I decided to stretch out the clips a little more to where it was on beat and the scenes wouldn't switch immediately, if they did you wouldn't really be able to tell what was going on since it's going too fast. Later, I began adding a little bit of coloring filter over the clips. I did t

Day Two of Filming for my Sprite Commercial

Image
Today, has been day two of filming for my Sprite Commercial, this time things were a little different and I had to go with a different plan for my commercial because I had to be quarantined for a few days and I couldn't film at school, unfortunately. I had to switch things up a little bit but honestly, I think I pulled it off pretty well even though I wasn't in the environment that I was supposed to be in. I have finally completed filming all of my panels for my storyboard but I had to refilm the first few because my set isn't at school anymore so I wanted those clips to fit the scenery as well. But I did switch it up a bit to where I got the drink from my fridge instead of a vending machine. It wasn't a huge change it was basically the same concept just that the drink was in a fridge. My little brother helped me film a little bit for the rest of the shots because I found it very difficult to place my camera to where I wanted it to be. Especially since it was outdoors
