The Start of Editing for My Music Video

I started gathering all of my clips for the first day of editing. I went through them one by one to see which one would work best for the music video. After I sorted them all out, I went to YouTube and downloaded the song I needed for my music video, then cut up the audio to make it no longer than 2 minutes. Then I opened Videostar and imported the audio, and the editing process began. I began to section out the audio and leave some markers so I know where each and every individual clip I filmed goes. It makes things a lot easier for me, but it has its drawbacks, such as having to time it correctly and resorting some clips to see which one would fit the amount of time available. Because some of the clips are shorter than others, they must be shown on screen. But after a half-hour, I figured it out and started putting all the clips together normally. When I finished, I began to think about what I could do for the video's intro, but nothing really came to mind, so I'm going to leave it until last. But I did add some coloring and effects to the clips to give it more clarity because some clips were darker than others and I wanted it to have a certain color tone to it as well. I also resized some clips so I could get some things out of the background because it looks strange and unprofessional to leave it in there. I started adding some after I finished all of the minor details. I started by adding some minor noticeable effects like static and glow, as well as some minor transitions like blur transitions, where the first end of the clip is blurred and transitions into the second clip, which is already blurred but fades out creating that camera blur illusion, so it looks more natural and homemade. I also added end transitions such as a fade in at the start and a fade out at the end. This is where I left off for the day; it didn't seem like much, but it took a long time. I know the rest of the editing process will be a piece of cake for me after that; I just need to brainstorm a little more and see how it all comes together in the end.
