The Final Day of Editing for My Music Video


 On the second day of editing I began where I left off which was when I finished adding in some mini transitions. Now I'm putting clips together to create illusions and cool creativity. One of my ideas, which is the whole point of the music video, was to have me play both characters, but in the same shots and so on. For some clips that feature both characters Apart from aligning the background so it doesn't look wonky, it was fairly simple to edit both in. However, in other situations, such as editing the mirror scene in my panels, it proved to be far more difficult than I had anticipated. I wanted to give the impression that the mirror moves independently of the person and does not reflect the actual person outside the person in real time. I had to cut out the clips and perform some complex masking. That is to say, I removed much of the background in the original clip has been removed, leaving only the person in the edited version. After I finished masking, I put everything together and it turned out perfectly. It was a very complicated process, but it only took me about 2 hours to complete it, which is insane, but it was well worth the wait. There wasn't much else to do after that. I started to improve the video's coloring and added some effects like jitter and flickering. I also adjusted the timing so that it doesn't end awkwardly at the end of the music video. After that, I applied the final touch, which was Motion Blur or RSMB. Rsmb adds a lot more smoothness and frames per second to a video, making it less choppy and slow in general is a fantastic tool for making your videos look more lively and smooth. Because motion blur is a complicated effect, it took about a half hour to export just the motion blur onto the video. However, exporting the entire music video took much longer, approximately an hour and a half if my memory serves me correctly. It was all worth it because I had finally finished the music video, and all that remained was to submit it and hope for the best.

On the second day of filming, I finished filming all of the storyboard panels for my music video. I have to say that it was not an easy task. I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to use that time to actually finish everything, but it wasn't easy because it felt like a time crunch even though I was free to do whatever I wanted. There were still a lot of scenes to finish from where I had left off, and I had to refilm some of them because the clips were too blurry for the final product. I also recorded scenes that I would edit into the music video to give it more personality and easter eggs, which sort of fits the theme of my music video anyway.  For my Commerical Project, I will work alone. I think its the best way to go for me because I'm not really trusting of other people because I have no actual clue if they'll do the work or not and in the past I've had lots of issues with people not completing what they're supposed to be doing even with my friends. I can't really rely on others so that's why I'm holding full responsibility for this project. Working alone isn't terrible either, on the bright side I won't have to nudge people into doing their work until they get annoyed with me because I hate being a bother to others as well. Being independent also means this project will be my own unique thoughts without interference. I like working out ideas by myself although critique is necessary I want this project to be my own authentic piece and my own authentic ideas. Having other people's ideas doesn't really make this my own and I may not like what others come up with so I trust myself...
