Genre Choice for Film

 The genres that fall under this certain pitch is thriller, drama, and mystery. These three really fit the pitch because all of it has to do with suspense. It really is a pitch that would keep you on your toes, which falls under these three genres. For example, we have thriller. It is one of those genres that consists of many versions of excitement. it also brings feelings of surprise, anticipation, or anxiety. Basically, wanting to know what happens next really what makes the audience want to watch more. Some may say that thriller is a genre of fiction, which means that the things that are happening will not really happen in real life, realistically, so it makes it more intriguing to watch it. Therefore, this is not reality, this is fantasy. When it comes to mystery, this is what really draws the audience to trying to figure out how to solve this problem. Based on the pitch, the problem is figuring out whether that friend is there or not. And whether if she is going crazy or if her friends are. For drama, there is a lot of things that could go into that. There's police crime drama, there's political drama, there's legal drama and historic drama. The list really goes on. However, we choose to do drama that falls into the lines of mystery. It could also be called just straight drama. Drama and thriller can correlate together also. But it usually does that when it has to do with heroes and villains. Overall, these really fit this pitch. Based on the research we did for the blogs, we feel as though mystery will fit best for our movie. This genre really would climb as the film goes on. By the end of the film is where we find our solution or our ending. This inspired us as a whole as we are trying to create a film that has to do with suspicion. It would really draw the audience attention. I feel like our pitch really fits in with this genre. If in the future we would have to tweak it, it wouldn't be a problem. We weren't thinking to add dialogue at first as our idea, but it might be the thing that we need to add. As stated previously, the mystery genre has a decent popularity in films nowadays. The wide variety of aspects and work that goes into these films really brings it all together. Which further creates something that truly represents mystery. Some camera angles that correlate to mystery are close-ups. They also include medium close-ups. They also use dialogue when it comes to mystery to give the audience a sense of point of view on what's going on in that person's head. This would be the POV. The costumes that really represent mystery are based on the theme and what makes the film look natural and looks like it. It would further give the impression that everything is happening in the moment. We would also want to include a descriptive mood for each scene so the whole film could all come together. This seems like it would be really fun to film as mystery is such an exciting genre. This would be a film to remember.

Final Day of Filming for my Music Video

On the second day of filming, I finished filming all of the storyboard panels for my music video. I have to say that it was not an easy task. I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to use that time to actually finish everything, but it wasn't easy because it felt like a time crunch even though I was free to do whatever I wanted. There were still a lot of scenes to finish from where I had left off, and I had to refilm some of them because the clips were too blurry for the final product. One image that gets prioritized heavily is the phone of Casey Becker. Another thing that gets prioritized is the house such as the doors, the kitchen, the stove. - What connotations do these images carry? The phone shows a mysterious voice that keeps on dialing her.  For my Commerical Project, I will work alone. I think its the best way to go for me because I'm not really trusting of other people because I have no actual clue if they'll do the work or not and in the past I've had lots of issues with people not completing what they're supposed to be doing even with my friends. I can't really rely on others so that's why I'm holding full responsibility for this project. Working alone isn't terrible either, on the bright side I won't have to nudge people into doing their work until they get annoyed with me because I hate being a bother to others as well. Being independent also means this project will be my own unique thoughts without interference. I like working out ideas by myself although critique is necessary I want this project to be my own authentic piece and my own authentic ideas. Having other people's ideas doesn't really make this my own and I may not like what others come up with so I trust myself...
