Group Blog: Who I am working with

 Last year in AS level, I would usually do my most of my projects alone and without the help of others. All of that changed however when the final task grew upon us and I knew I couldn’t do it on my own, so I worked with three other people. Melvin Amaya, Withly Pierrette, and Naiara Aggiuro. They were a wonderful group to work with and they showed a-lot of teamwork throughout the entire final task, they were also extremely fun to work with because we grew closer as friends. This year will be practically the same except unfortunately Naiara will not be joining us this year so it’ll just be Melvin and Withly. Even so, I know we’ll accomplish great things together even if we are missing a helping hand. Melvin is the talkative one of the group but even so he is very intelligent and comes up with very good ideas. Withly is also very smart and she adds on to ideas that have already been set on the table that we haven’t come up with yet. I believe I can accomplish great things as well with the amount knowledge I have on Storyboarding and Editing, two things that I can say I know a lot about because I’ve been working with it for around 4 years now. Together as a group I believe the three of us will push forward and create one of the best and intriguing film people will ever see and we will fight through the process and hardships it takes to create these films. I hope this year we have improved from what we were last year and we can impress our peers with what we’ve got.

Final Day of Filming for my Music Video

On the second day of filming, I finished filming all of the storyboard panels for my music video. I have to say that it was not an easy task. I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to use that time to actually finish everything, but it wasn't easy because it felt like a time crunch even though I was free to do whatever I wanted. There were still a lot of scenes to finish from where I had left off, and I had to refilm some of them because the clips were too blurry for the final product. I also recorded scenes that I would edit into the music video to give it more personality and easter eggs, which sort of fits the theme of my music video anyway.   - What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? The opening sequence has one title card that starts with the name of the movie, starting off from white to red   - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? One image that gets prioritized heavily is the phone of Casey Becker. Another thing that gets prioritized is the house such as the doors, the kitchen, the stove. - What connotations do these images carry? The phone shows a mysterious voice that keeps on dialing her. The stranger continuously asks odd questions that begin to get intimidating. The movie uses the phone as a way to scare the viewer as the ringing continues. The movie also displays many parts of the house to make the viewer believe there is a mysterious danger lurking in a place meant to be safe. - How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?  For my Commerical Project, I will work alone. I think its the best way to go for me because I'm not really trusting of other people because I have no actual clue if they'll do the work or not and in the past I've had lots of issues with people not completing what they're supposed to be doing even with my friends. I can't really rely on others so that's why I'm holding full responsibility for this project. Working alone isn't terrible either, on the bright side I won't have to nudge people into doing their work until they get annoyed with me because I hate being a bother to others as well. Being independent also means this project will be my own unique thoughts without interference. I like working out ideas by myself although critique is necessary I want this project to be my own authentic piece and my own authentic ideas. Having other people's ideas doesn't really make this my own and I may not like what others come up with so I trust myself...
