First day of editing

Now that we have the music portion of this project out of the way it's finally time to start the editing process of this film production. After talking with my team members I've decided to take responsibility for the editing while they critique it and see what I am able to add and or improve. Editing for this was going to be alot more difficult because I dont have any music template to follow so the clips can flow along each beat or lyric, it's just up to my own imagination and how I want to put the clips together. First I added all of the scenes we had filmed into the program put them all in order of how the storyboard was made. It actually took me quite a bit of time to do this because I was looking through every scene to see which one actually fit best and didn't have the most fails in it. After that I began planning out how I was going to cut down most of these clips. Because of how long some of the clips were they went way past the limit of the film and I needed to come up with a creative way to actually cut it down. After some time I decided to cut up some scenes that may have had unnecessary filler or deleted complete scenes in general because it felt like filler as well, or it just wasn't necessary to keep the story moving. After some time I had finally finished getting it under the two minute mark which took me quite a while, which is surprising cause you'd think it'd be easier to produce a really short film but honestly it is far from it. I've decided to leave the editing there and after that all I did was ask my group mates how they felt about the scene cutting and they all agreed that it looked well. So, this marks the end of the first day of the editing process. I'm very excited to see what's in store and what ideas I can come up with before I finalize the film.
