A cancelled filming day…


Unfortunately, attempting to film the second day was incredibly tricky for our group. We had to end up cancelling our plans because I wasn't able to catch a ride to our filming spot and other group mates were struggling with the same situation. The weather has also been not so pleasant and it's just been alot for the group right now. Instead of filming we decided to just discuss the changes need to be made in our schedule and how we can implement our backup plan into this now. We tried to see who was available on which days and who wouldn't be able to make it on certain days. We ended up coming up with everyones schedule but we also have to keep in mind the fact that our schedules change quite frequently so we need to check up on each other from time to time to make sure were all able to film a certain day, and even if someone is absent for a filming day we can film parts where a certain character isn't participating which makes it easier to let off the person who couldn't make it and we could make some progress with the filming. I myself have to be there for filming days because i'm a main character and it's a big struggle since I can't drive and my parents are usually busy with work. I'm trying to come up with a work around for this problem because as the main character its important I participate the most. On another note we spoke about our title designs and how our colors should be dull and dark like red and black mixed together, were going for a scary feel even though it's specifically a mystery movie were trying to implement smaller details to make it work together. I'm in charge of the editing for the film and I'm a little excited because I've been practicing lighting and other editing techniques in my editing program as well as trying out new programs. I'm hoping that my work pays off and our film can radiate a specific energy for the audience reacting to it. In the end I really hope everything works out in every aspect of the production process, i'm determined to finish this film successfully.

Final Day of Filming for my Music Video

On the second day of filming, I finished filming all of the storyboard panels for my music video. I have to say that it was not an easy task. I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to use that time to actually finish everything, but it wasn't easy because it felt like a time crunch even though I was free to do whatever I wanted. There were still a lot of scenes to finish from where I had left off, and I had to refilm some of them because the clips were too blurry for the final product. The opening sequence has one title card that starts with the name of the movie, starting off from white to red   - What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? One image that gets prioritized heavily is the phone of Casey Becker. Another thing that gets prioritized is the house such as the doors, the kitchen, the stove. - What connotations do these images carry? The phone shows a mysterious voice that keeps on dialing her.  For my Commerical Project, I will work alone. I think its the best way to go for me because I'm not really trusting of other people because I have no actual clue if they'll do the work or not and in the past I've had lots of issues with people not completing what they're supposed to be doing even with my friends. I can't really rely on others so that's why I'm holding full responsibility for this project. Working alone isn't terrible either, on the bright side I won't have to nudge people into doing their work until they get annoyed with me because I hate being a bother to others as well. Being independent also means this project will be my own unique thoughts without interference. I like working out ideas by myself although critique is necessary I want this project to be my own authentic piece and my own authentic ideas. Having other people's ideas doesn't really make this my own and I may not like what others come up with so I trust myself
